Speed boat racing R/C speed or FSRH
The race takes place around a 250 metres oval circuit with a maximum of eight hydroplanes which must complete 5,- 6 or 7 laps of this circuit depending on their ces capacity. Points are acored in order of finish placing ( 400-300-223.....25) four races must be completed. Departure is given according to the following procedure 2 minutes of preparation during whoch the modeles my be launched.1 minute of timing during which models sail around respecting the circuit and the race rules The race time which is calculated according to the time taken to finish the number of laps to be completed cannot exceed 5 minutes. To allow a correct progress of the race a special timing system will be installed in the middle of the circuit. Only one hand running round a clock in 30 seconds; 4 red lights which turn off every 30 seconds determining the 2 minute. Preparation time 2 white lights "on" or "blinkins" determining the timing minute at the end of this minute the white lights go off and a signal sound is given for the departure of the race. Here again refereis must be present to make sure that rules are respected the higher the speed, the stricter the rules. The models are very special too; a central hull or fuselage wheve the engine, the tank and the radio-control are mounted. At the stern , two float-skates linked to the central hull (fuselaje) by two tubes allowing adjust mont of the angle and the gauge of the skates. At the bows, a mechanical assembly supportings the propeller, a very deep radder and a water cooling connection system for the engine. At full speed only the skates and the propeller- rudder assembly touch the water, this is why hydroplanes are called al so "three points". The basic material for the buildong of these boats is the balsa considering that the weight is the enemy of speed. Speeds overreach more 100 Km.h. These racing boats are propelled by two-stroke thermail engine and their capacity (3,5cc--7,5cc--15cc) determine their category .
